Today, we operate a network of fridges and partner with clients nationwide in high‑foot‑traffic areas, such as airports, hospitals, universities, and large office buildings, where there is limited accessibility to fresh, healthy grab‑and‑go options.

About this role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our accounting operations and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting knowledge, leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining efficient financial processes and controls. The Accounting Manager will drive day‑to‑day accounting operations and monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in compliance with GAAP. This role reports directly to the VP of Finance & Accounting.

What you’ll do

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Manage month‑end and year‑end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes.
  • Support planning and forecasting by providing financial insights and variance analysis.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve financial systems, processes, and reporting capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with tax filings, regulatory requirements, and corporate reporting deadlines.

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience.
  • Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP.
  • Experience working with multi‑state businesses.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel or Google Sheets (Pivot Tables, LOOKUPS, INDEX MATCH, etc.).
  • Experience working with Sage Intacct is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

The base salary range for this role is $110,000 to $120,000. The base pay offered will be determined by factors such as experience, skills, training, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for company performance‑based bonuses and equity.
