Our client is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity & IT Manager to lead their technology operations and safeguard company systems, data, and network infrastructure. This role oversees cybersecurity functions and IT service delivery, ensuring the security, reliability, and compliance of all technology platforms. The Manager will directly supervise a small IT Support (Help Desk) team and serve as a key liaison with vendors and company leadership.

This position is ideal for a hands‑on professional with a strong foundation in both Help Desk operations and cybersecurity management, who thrives in a collaborative, fast‑growing environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Security Operations & Oversight

  • Manage and maintain cybersecurity tools, endpoint protection, and threat monitoring systems.
  • Oversee phishing protection, email security, and employee awareness programs.
  • Enforce encryption, access control, and device management policies.
  • Maintain multi‑factor authentication (MFA) standards and ensure consistent patching and configuration compliance across devices.
  • Manage third‑party IT and cybersecurity vendors, ensuring quality performance and contract adherence.
  • Coordinate escalations, upgrades, and system audits with vendors.
  • Monitor service‑level agreements (SLAs) and optimize vendor relationships for cost‑effectiveness and reliability.

3. Backup, Recovery & Business Continuity

  • Define and oversee backup and recovery schedules for critical systems.
  • Maintain and regularly test the Disaster Recovery (DR) Plan.
  • Ensure secure, redundant storage of backup data both onsite and in the cloud.
  • Lead the Incident Response Plan and ensure timely detection, response, and remediation of cybersecurity events.
  • Conduct post‑incident analysis and implement continuous improvement measures.
  • Perform regular risk assessments and report cybersecurity posture to leadership.
  • Supervise the Help Desk team and oversee IT support operations to ensure adherence to ITIL processes and SLAs.
  • Act as the escalation point for operational or security incidents.
  • Coordinate company‑wide patch management and user access control.
  • Lead cybersecurity training and awareness initiatives for all employees.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years of Help Desk experience combined with current cybersecurity knowledge or experience.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, endpoint protection, encryption, patch management, and MFA.
  • Demonstrated experience managing small teams and external vendors.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and documentation skills.

Preferred

  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+.
  • Experience in distribution, logistics, or manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with NIST CSF or ISO 27001 frameworks.
  • Experience in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

Additional Information

  • Work Type: Onsite
  • Hours: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM EST, Monday–Friday (occasional off‑hours support may be required)
  • Employment Eligibility: U.S. work authorization required (no visa sponsorship available)
