Procedural Specialist - Indianapolis, IN

BD, a leading medical technology company, is seeking a Procedural Specialist to promote BD Peripheral Intervention products to customers and potential customers through clinical support and education within the defined geographic area.

Job Description Summary

Success in this role is defined by the ability to effectively manage a territory while building strong relationships with healthcare professionals. A successful team member demonstrates a deep understanding of surgical and endovascular procedures, enabling them to confidently support clinical cases. They possess solid knowledge of basic anatomy and are fluent in medical and surgical terminology, allowing clear and accurate communication in clinical settings. Consistent performance, proactive engagement, and the ability to translate product knowledge into meaningful clinical support are key indicators of success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel and staff on technical matters related to BD Peripheral Intervention products through case support, one‑on‑one in‑servicing, and/or internal/external physician education training programs.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers, hospitals and physicians; obtain new users and applications for company products and services.
  • Observe and report market trends which affect BD Peripheral Intervention sales, service and product development.
  • Fulfill the duty of a Territory Manager in vacant territories and support endovascular procedures as directed by the District Manager.

Education and Experience Required

  • Associates Degree or B.S. preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the operating room, interventional radiology lab, or cardiac cath lab.
  • Current credentialing and/or certification in respective clinical discipline.
  • Advanced knowledge of vascular access management, vascular surgery, and endovascular medicine preferred.

For most roles, BD requires a minimum of 4 days of in‑office presence per week to maintain our culture of excellence and ensure smooth operations. Remote or field‑based positions will have different workplace arrangements indicated in the posting.
