Rate Range: $28-$35/Hr
Job Description: As a Solar Battery Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing battery storage systems used in conjunction with solar energy systems. Your role is essential in ensuring battery systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with manufacturer and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:
Inspect and maintain solar battery systems (lithium-ion, lead-acid, etc.) to ensure optimal performance. Monitor battery health, charge cycles, and system data using monitoring software. Diagnose and repair battery-related issues such as voltage irregularities, thermal faults, or connectivity errors. Clean battery terminals and ensure proper ventilation and housing. Replace damaged or degraded battery modules or components. Coordinate with solar technicians and electricians for integrated system maintenance. Maintain accurate service records and complete maintenance reports. Follow all safety procedures and comply with local electrical codes and OSHA standards. Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in electrical or solar systems preferred. 2-4 years of experience in solar, electrical, or battery maintenance work. Strong understanding of battery systems and DC electrical principles. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals. Physically capable of lifting heavy equipment and working in outdoor environments. Valid driver's license.
