Description
Position Summary:
The Promotions Coordinator organizes activities and details related to casino promotions and events. This includes conducting property-wide information campaigns, prize drawings, Player Development Special Events and off-property events. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
Essential Functions:
1. Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort's "Winning Attitude" company-wide culture and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.
2. Coordinate and execute property promotions and events.
3. Assist with event set-up and registration, conduct drawings and slot tournaments, and deliver promotional announcements as needed.
4. Assist with inventory of promotional items.
5. Prepare and issue promotional gift items.
6. Update and input data into the Thunder Rewards database.
7. Assist with printing and delivery of promotional information to all departments, including monthly schedule calendars.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
1. One (1) year of promotions and events experience preferred.
2. High school education or equivalent preferred.
3. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
4. Excellent verbal and written communications skills required.
5. Computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
6. Ability to speak in front of large crowds and make public overhead announcements. Experience as an emcee is preferred.
7. Friendly, approachable manner and ability to converse naturally with Guests.
8. Must be able to work any shift including evenings, weekends, holidays and irregular schedules.
9. Ability to accurately work on multiple projects under demanding circumstances.
10. Must be at least 21 years of age.
11. Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.
Physical Requirements:
1. Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
2. Ability to stand for duration of shift.
3. Ability to lift 25 lbs.
4. Manual dexterity to use job related equipment.
