Secret-cleared OpenShift Consultant
to support multiple U.S. Air Force programs located onsite
in Albuquerque, NM
. This consultant will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining
Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP)
clusters on
bare-metal infrastructure
within secure, air-gapped government environments. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with OpenShift, Linux, and complex network configuration, and thrives in mission-critical, security-sensitive projects.
This role is fully onsite in
Albuquerque, NM
and requires an
active Secret Clearance
Responsibilities of the OpenShift Consultant:
Deploy, configure, and maintain
Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP)
within secure on-premises networks Perform
bare-metal provisioning
and full lifecycle management using Red Hat Satellite, Ansible, Kickstart, or similar tools Design and manage
VLANs, network interfaces, bonding, and routing
for OpenShift clusters Implement and troubleshoot
OpenShift SDN / OVN-Kubernetes
and ingress / load-balancing services Configure and maintain
internal image registries
and disconnected repositories Ensure compliance with
DoD STIGs, RMF, and security hardening standards
across systems and containers Provide detailed
documentation, deployment guides, and technical reports
for government stakeholders Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Red Hat technologies (RHEL, Ansible Automation Platform, Satellite) into operational environments Support periodic site assessments and troubleshooting across multiple Air Force or DoD programs Qualifications for the OpenShift Consultant:
Active Secret Clearance
(required; must be listed in DISS) 5 + years
of Linux or systems engineering experience, with
2 + years hands-on with OpenShift Container Platform Demonstrated experience deploying
OpenShift 4.x clusters on bare metal
infrastructure Strong knowledge of
networking concepts
(VLANs, bonding, MTU, DNS, firewalls, load balancing) Experience with
Red Hat Satellite, Ansible, Foreman, or Kickstart automation
for provisioning Familiarity with
secure / air-gapped environments, compliance requirements, and offline registries Proficiency with
Kubernetes concepts
(pods, nodes, operators, RBAC, monitoring, logging) Excellent written and verbal communication and documentation skills Preferred:
Red Hat certifications (RHCE, EX280 OpenShift Admin, or RHCA) Compensation & Benefits
Salary:
$130,000 - $170,000 *
