The Opportunity
The Accounting Manager will play a key role in the financial operations of AS-Modular's core accounting functions, ensuring compliance and accuracy, and contributing to strategic financial management. This position requires a hands-on leader who enjoys problem-solving, mentoring others, and improving systems and processes within a dynamic, team-oriented environment. This is a newly created position due to organic business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and daily cash management, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies. Conduct general ledger reviews, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations to maintain accurate and complete financial records. Ensure adherence to GAAP and maintain strong accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and executive leadership. Manage cost reviews and work-in-progress (WIP) reporting, providing insights into project and operational performance. Provide leadership, mentorship, and supervision to a small accounting team (2-3 direct reports across AP, AR, and Purchasing). Collaborate closely with project managers to align financial data with project performance and forecasting. Support internal and external audits, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Identify opportunities for process improvement, streamline reporting tools, and enhance efficiency across accounting operations. Serve as a hands-on team player: a problem-solver who's comfortable wearing many hats in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Tools & Systems (preferred experience only)
Experience with Trimble Viewpoint Spectrum (including Info-Link). Familiarity with Insight Spreadsheet Server for report building. Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Power BI Reporting Structure
Reports to the Controller and CFO. Directly supervises team members in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Purchasing. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. Construction industry experience highly preferred. Strong technical accounting, analytical, and leadership skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
