As a Low Voltage Technician at VanKirk Electric, you will complete low voltage construction projects by overseeing the different stages of Rough-in and Installation, as well as Programming of the project on All Low Voltage phases of the job.
Responsibilities • Determine project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, contract scope, and performance standards • Walk buildings with superintendent, crews, and customers • Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements • Daily reports to Management • Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems • Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions • Terminating Low Voltage wires and program/troubleshoot systems • Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations
Requirements • Extensive knowledge installing and programming Honeywell fire alarm systems is a plus • Must have great organizational and communications skills • Must be able to travel • Must have a great work ethic • Must have your own hand tools • Must be able to multitask and juggle the responsibilities of several projects at once • Successful completion of pre-employment screening
