Job Title: Quality Technician

Job Description

As a Quality Technician, you will ensure adherence to and implementation of company safety and work rules. You will perform inspection operations including First Piece Inspection, Final Inspection, Receiving QC Inspection, In-Process Inspection, and First Article Inspection. You will be responsible for creating nonconformance documentation (NCRs) and maintaining inspection data. Your role will involve communicating with the Quality team to ensure efficient workflow and escalating any quality issues immediately.

Responsibilities

Ensure adherence to and implementation of company safety and work rules.

Perform First Piece, Final, Receiving QC, In-Process, and First Article Inspections.

Operate manual CMM equipment or show willingness and skill to learn.

Create nonconformance documentation (NCRs) and remove discrepant material from production areas.

Maintain and support SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost) metrics.

Ensure all quality requirements are followed, including procedural compliance and defect reporting.

Complete first article inspection reports (FAIRs) in accordance with the AS9100 standard.

Maintain all inspection data and ensure all paperwork is in its proper place.

Communicate and coordinate with other members of the Quality team to ensure efficient workflow.

Escalate production and assembly quality issues or work stoppages caused by quality issues immediately.

Set up and adjust gages using required equipment or masters per specification requirements, including periodic verifications of gage setup.

Provide leadership, technical support, and guidance to operators, manufacturing, and other areas in need of assistance on all inspection-related topics.

Read and interpret technical part drawings and hold tolerances of .001 or .0001 of an inch.

Essential Skills

3+ years of quality inspection experience in a tight tolerance environment, aerospace preferred.

Proficiency in utilizing micrometers, calipers, and gauges for inspections.

Experience in CMM and optical comparator operations.

Ability to read blueprints.

High School Diploma or GED.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with precision measuring tools and quality assurance processes.

ASQ certification is advantageous.

Technical skills in using CMM, micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

Familiarity with aerospace industry standards.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $74880.00/yr.
