Job Description:
A pivotal member of the Graduate Enrollment team, the Assistant Director oversees all aspects of prospective student engagement for an assigned portfolio, and participates in the nurturing of applicants to graduate programs at Clark. This person will engage directly (via phone, email, chat, or text) with graduate applicants, providing timely inquiry response and follow-up, accurate admissions information, and personalized coaching and support.
Major Responsibilities: Serves as admission officer for assigned program portfolio and helps to establish baseline goals and needs for enrollment. Plans and executes on-campus and virtual events. Travels domestically to recruitment events and conferences on behalf of the university as needed. Delivers effective and timely messaging and personal support to students throughout the admissions lifecycle. Designs critical engagement messaging and effective communications workflows for each segment of the admissions lifecycle. Collaborates with the marketing team to develop the most effective marketing messages, web content, and recruiting communications to connect student interest with Clark graduate programs.
Requirements:
The successful candidate must be a clear and effective communicator who can understand and support multi-faceted strategies across the admissions funnel and provide advice and guidance to more efficiently and effectively communicate with our prospective students.
Additional desired attributes:
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent amount of experience and education required. 2+ years' experience in a similar role, admission experience highly preferred. Experience in a customer service, marketing, sales, or enrollment/admissions setting. Demonstrated ability to train, support, and lead a team of outreach and advising professionals in a complex and evolving product environment. Experience with marketing automation platforms and digital communications toolsets. Ability to quickly learn, adapt, and excel in a growth-oriented and constantly evolving environment. Dedication to high quality communications and customer focused service Demonstrated ability to innovate and constantly improve systems and process to deliver optimal outcomes.
Additional Information:
Expected Hiring Range: $54,800 to $60,250
Pay Transparency Disclosure: The compensation for this position will be determined based on factors that include available budget, internal equity, and the selected candidate's qualifications, experience, education, and other job-related credentials. This range represents Clark University's good-faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting consistent with Clark's compensation philosophy and internal alignment.
