Are you a skilled Maintenance Fitter/Welder looking for a stable, hands-on role in an essential industry? Staffmark is hiring for a Maintenance Fitter/Welder in New Iberia, LA, where you'll play a key role in keeping plant equipment running efficiently and safely.
Pay Range: $25.00 - $30.00/hour (Depending on Experience)
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Overtime , call-outs, and weekend work may be required to support plant operations.
What You'll Do:
Perform fitting and welding tasks on plant equipment and machinery. Diagnose, repair, and rebuild mechanical systems and production components. Overhaul mills and related processing equipment to maintain peak performance. Replace bearings, shafts, and other mechanical parts as needed. Fabricate and modify components to improve reliability and minimize downtime. Follow preventive maintenance schedules and maintain accurate service record s. Respond promptly to urgent repairs, including call-outs and extended hours when necessary. Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance best practices. What We're Looking For:
Proven experience as a fitter/welder or industrial maintenance technician. Strong mechanical and welding skills with attention to detail. Ability to work flexible hours when required for plant operations. Safety-focused and dependable team player.
