Fives DyAG Corp is seeking an Electrical Assembly Technician in the Saginaw, MI area. This is a first shift role.
Accountability: This position is responsible for wiring machine tools and automated equipment to meet all designed criteria, customer expectation and to uphold our high standard of product quality.
Scope and Responsibilities:
Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following: Perform a somewhat diverse range of operations to install a variety of electrical components and purchased accessories to our machine tool products. Electrical components included are, but not limited to: pendants, conduits, fittings, switches, motors, temporary power connections for testing motors, controls, transformers, generators, lighting, and power circuits Interpret electrical schematics, mechanical prints, assembly work instructions and vendor documentation to ensure proper electrical installation of components and purchased accessories. Perform minor electrical tests using a volt-ohm-ampere meter, or other equipment as may be necessary to check voltage, line continuity, or other minor electrical tests. Occasionally perform other electrical tests as directed by supervision. Work with the wiring group to establish the best wiring practices to be documented in standard work instructions. Comply with standard safety precautions and electrical codes such as NEC, CE, and IEC. Ability to meet product standard hours Comply with business arc flash policies including proper use of PPE. Document wiring issues/corrections in a manner that follows company practices to ensure equipment quality. Detect and report unusual conditions, code violations, or faulty material to proper supervision. Perform other related duties as assigned or directed to include but not limited to: wire room inventory management and assisting facility maintenance in replacement of fuses, bulbs, cables, wire ETC. Proper use of electrical hand tools including but not limited to crimpers, wire strippers, heat guns, etc... Perform other duties as assigned by Lead, Supervisor or Manager Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Associate's Degree or trade school certificate is preferred.
Skills Required:
Good understanding of electrical and wiring concepts Reading and interrupting electrical schematics. It's also helpful to understand mechanical blueprints including hydraulic schematics Ability to verbally communicate technical concerns as it relates to component wiring Strong Electrical Safety understanding Understanding of various types of electrical power including single phase, three phase, AC and DC circuits. 2+ years of electrical assembly experience Attention to detail and product quality Benefits: Marjor Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, Holidays, PTO, 401K with match and much more.
