Power Platform Strategy & Automation Consultants
for a
temporary engagement
expected to run through the
end of the 2025 calendar year
, with the
possibility of extension through June 2026

ideally starting
as soon as possible
and concluding at the
end of the calendar year
. This role requires a
consultative mindset
— someone who can go beyond building workflows to understand the client’s broader business objectives, identify process improvement opportunities, and provide strategic recommendations that drive long-term automation maturity. You’ll design, optimize, and manage automation solutions at scale across a large Power Platform estate, leveraging
Power Automate
,
Copilot Studio
, and
Azure Logic Apps
to create intelligent, AI-enhanced workflows. As a Senior
Power Platform Strategy & Automation Consultant
for AG Consulting Partners, a typical day might include the following: Systems Design & Architecture: Use analytical thinking and a consultative approach to design end-to-end systems based on business processes. Investigate, document, and develop comprehensive designs for implementation using technologies listed in the “Required Capabilities” section. Flow Design & Authoring: Translate high-level requirements into functional cloud flows. Interpret natural language descriptions (e.g., “Notify the team when a data load fails and create a backlog item”) and build corresponding workflows with the correct triggers, actions, and logic in tools like Teams or ADO. Low-Code Function Writing: Develop or suggest low-code solutions using Power Fx formulas or small JavaScript snippets in custom connectors to enhance automation workflows. Parent-Child Flow Creation: Design modular, reusable workflows by creating parent-child flow structures. Break down large processes into sub-flows and manage orchestration between them. Guided Flow Editing: Serve as an AI-assisted partner within the flow editor, offering real-time suggestions for next steps or optimizations. This includes leveraging Power Automate Copilot to create and modify flows using natural language. Flow Monitoring & Enhancement: Track workflow performance and identify failures or inefficiencies (e.g., connector timeouts). Proactively implement improvements or automated fixes such as retry policies to ensure smooth and reliable flow operations. deep hands-on experience in Microsoft Power Automate
(cloud flows, desktop flows/RPA) —
this is the primary requirement . Candidates
must be based in the Greater Seattle area
and
available to work onsite in Redmond, WA four (4) days per week.

including connectors, triggers, actions, and common workflow patterns. Must be familiar with the organization’s standard connectors (SharePoint, email, databases, etc.). Experience advising clients on
automation strategy , change enablement, and user adoption. Familiarity with
AI Builder ,
Microsoft Graph , and
Azure OpenAI
integrations. Error Handling & Analytics:
Ability to parse flow run logs, identify common failure reasons, and apply known remedies (e.g., reauthenticate a connection, adjust a condition). Proven ability to
independently own and resolve complex flow issues
and deliver durable fixes. Hands-on experience designing and editing workflows using
Copilot Studio
or similar AI-assisted authoring tools. Experience building workflows directly from
natural language requirements
using AI-powered automation tools. Ability to write and optimize
Power Fx formulas
and lightweight
JavaScript
to extend automation capabilities. You might also have: Microsoft certifications (e.g., PL-100 / PL-200 / PL-400 / Power Platform App Maker or Developer certs). Experience integrating
AI-powered Copilot APIs
into enterprise workflows. Experience with Power Apps (Canvas/Model-driven) and Dataverse design. Familiarity with Azure Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, or other Azure integration services. Experience with source control / ALM for Power Platform (Solutions, solution-aware Git workflows) and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions). Familiarity with creating
self-healing automations , anomaly detection, and retry logic. Experience with monitoring stack (Application Insights, Log Analytics, Power Platform admin center analytics) and creating Power BI dashboards for telemetry. RPA / UI flow experience and familiarity with attended/unattended automation patterns. Prior consulting or vendor experience supporting multiple product teams.
