Job Summary
The BI Data Analyst will leverage strong technical expertise in SQL Server, data warehousing, and business intelligence tools to collect, organize, and analyze data from multiple sources.
This role is responsible for delivering actionable insights, creating data visualizations, and supporting decision-making processes through statistical analysis and reporting.
Key Responsibilities Collect and organize data from multiple sources for analysis. Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights for diagnostic and predictive analytics. Present data in formats readable by both humans and machines. Prepare reports for executive leadership, highlighting trends and predictions. Collaborate with management and stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities and recommend system modifications. Develop and maintain documentation to support data analysis processes. Write complex T-SQL queries and perform performance tuning in SQL Server. Create complex data pipelines using Power BI. Utilize statistical tools and software (e.g., Stata, SPSS) for data interpretation. Apply data querying, cleaning, and transformation techniques. Create reports and dashboards using tools like Tableau and Power BI. Work with ETL tools such as SSIS and analytical tools like SSAS (Tabular and Multidimensional Cubes, MDX queries). Troubleshoot data issues and perform quality assurance checks. Use scripting tools such as Cosmos and Scope scripts. Promote best practices in data governance and analysis. Required Qualifications
Proven experience in SQL Server and writing complex T-SQL queries. Experience in data analysis with large datasets. Proficiency in Power BI and creation of complex data pipelines. Coding skills in SQL, Python, and/or R. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with statistical software (e.g., Stata, SPSS). Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL techniques. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong communication and technical writing skills. Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure. Experience with BI reporting tools and analytical platforms. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Tableau for data visualization. Familiarity with SSIS, SSAS, MDX queries. Knowledge of Cosmos and Scope scripts. Understanding of Microsoft Big Data Technologies. Experience with Azure Data Factory and C# is a plus.
