Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic writer to join our External Affairs department to coordinate grant proposals and other documentation through all stages of the proposal development process, including final delivery, tracking and follow-up reporting. This position will be responsible for a portfolio of approximately 30 grant proposals ranging from $2,000 - $75,000.
The rate of pay for this position is $55,000 per year, commensurate with experience ($26.44 hourly; FLSA Non-Exempt).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop a deep understanding of CHN's dynamic programs, initiatives, and goals Write grant proposals and prepare grant reports as assigned Conduct prospect research to identify potential new funders as assigned Assist with reporting and managing funder deliverables for compliance Track proposals in Salesforce database Update and maintain funder and stakeholder records in a Salesforce database Assist with fundraising campaigns and annual events Other duties as assigned Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

2-5 years of experience in grant proposal writing Experience/familiarity with databases Skills:
Excellent persuasive writing skills with ability to develop clear, structured and impactful proposals and related marketing pieces. Critical thinking skills, the ability to synthesize complex information into succinct and clear statements. Project management skills to take the lead in the entire life-cycle of proposals, from initial conception through full completion. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, and work as a team player. Detail-oriented, the ability to edit and deliver polished drafts to supervisor. Strong time management skills, the ability to be self-motivated while working in a dynamic team environment. Ability to research and analyze needs and trends, utilize data and research to convey the needs, and link to specific grantor/funder interests and priorities in a compelling way. Preferred:
Degree in English, communications, journalism or related field Salesforce experience Familiarity with fundraising and resource development practices Experience in housing industry or community/economic development Critical Competencies:
