Hybrid work schedule! LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IP Legal Assistant for a confidential client. This is an exciting opportunity to support a dynamic intellectual property team handling domestic and international trademark and patent matters. The ideal candidate will have experience managing IP filings, maintaining docketing systems, and supporting attorneys with a variety of administrative and legal tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and file U.S. and international trademark and patent applications, renewals, and maintenance documents
Maintain and update IP docketing systems to track deadlines and ensure timely filings
Draft correspondence to clients, foreign associates, and government agencies
Assist with the preparation of legal documents, including assignments, declarations, and powers of attorney
Organize and maintain electronic and physical IP files and records
Support attorneys with billing, time entry, and general administrative tasks
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal in intellectual property law
Familiarity with USPTO and international IP filing systems and procedures
Proficiency in IP docketing software and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience:
Experience with patent and trademark prosecution, including PCT and Madrid Protocol filings
Familiarity with IP management platforms such as CPI, Anaqua, or Foundation IP
Paralegal certificate or relevant legal training is a plus
Benefits:
Depending on the specific client, location, and role, the benefits may include PTO, medical, dental, vision, term life and AD&D insurance, short-term disability and long-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, wellness plans, and a 401k plan or a non-qualified deferred compensation plan. Additionally, you may be eligible for paid leave including Paid Sick Leave or other paid leave required by Federal, State, or local law, as well as Holiday pay where applicable. Bonus eligibility and amount are based upon company and/or individual performance.
Pay Details:
$70,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
