Quality Control Technician

to join our food manufacturing team. This role is critical to maintaining our high standards of safety and quality, with a strong focus on HACCP and SQF compliance.

Responsibilities: Perform inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished products Monitor and document HACCP and SQF procedures Identify and report deviations, support corrective actions Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues Maintain accurate records and support audits Qualifications:

Job Description

The Quality Control Lab Technician performs physical measuring and chemical analysis tests of raw ingredients or finished goods in the Quality Control laboratory or while on the production floor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following duties. Other duties may be assigned.

Performs qualitative, quantitative, and sensory evaluations on incoming raw material and finished goods.

Verifies effectiveness of some pre-requisite quality programs.

Inspects first case of all production runs in manufacturing.

Documents results of all qualitative, quantitative, and sensory evaluations as well as first case inspections.

Places items that do not meet specified requirements on "QC hold" based on results of testing and inspection.

Responsible for the safety and cleanliness of lab and equipment used.

Monitors facility employees for compliance of Good Manufacturing Practices policies and procedures.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience

One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Word Processing and Spreadsheet software; Internet software and Database software.
