Job Summary
The Master Data Management (MDM) Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of core business data, such as products, customers, vendors, and pricing, across systems and departments. This role is vital to supporting procurement, sales, marketing, and finance functions in a fast-paced foodservice distribution environment.
Responsibilities: Data Maintenance: Set standards for updating and maintaining master data records in ERP and related systems (e.g., products, customer profiles, vendor data, pack sizes, product categories, allergens, nutritional data). Product Content: Manage images and labels for online system. Including taking or collecting photos of new products for them to be "launched" on the app.
Data Governance & Standards: Ensure adherence to company-wide data standards, naming conventions, and categorization rules to enable clean, consistent reporting and analytics. Collaboration Across Teams: Act as a liaison between sales, purchasing, finance, marketing, and IT to understand data needs and support business initiatives requiring accurate master data. Quality Control: Identify, flag, and resolve data discrepancies, duplicates, and missing fields; regularly audit data for quality and accuracy. Support System Projects: Participate in ERP modifications, taxonomy changes, app integrations, and new digital initiatives that involve master data. Documentation & Training: Maintain documentation for master data processes and assist in training team members on proper data entry and maintenance procedures. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or related field preferred 2+ years of experience working with data management or ERP systems (e.g., NCR Retalix / Power Enterprise, Target ERP) SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) Foodservice, distribution, or manufacturing experience strongly preferred Proficiency in Excel and data tools; knowledge of data governance tools a plus Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities Key Competencies:
