Position Overview We are seeking an experienced
Senior Network and Computer Systems Administrator
to provide advanced IT support for classified operations in a secure government environment. This role requires a
Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
and involves supporting the full lifecycle of IT systems, including planning, deployment, operations, troubleshooting, and system upgrades. The selected candidate will join a collaborative team supporting mission-critical defense programs, working alongside both military and civilian personnel to maintain and optimize secure IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Define and implement hardware, software, and systems specifications and configurations. Apply patches, updates, and compliance fixes to maintain system security. Install, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft Hyper-V, Windows Server (2008 R2, 2012 R2, 2016), and client systems across multiple networks. Provide user support for account management, enterprise applications, and peripheral devices. Collaborate with Information System Security Officers (ISSO) for secure data transfers and media creation. Manage and coordinate user account creation, access, and modifications. Perform system maintenance and other IT-related tasks as assigned. Required Qualifications
US Citizenship
(mandatory due to clearance requirements). Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility , with willingness to undergo a counterintelligence polygraph. DoD 8570 IAT Level II (or higher) certification . Education/Experience:
High School Diploma + 10 years of IT experience,
-OR- Bachelor's Degree in a related field + 8 years of IT experience.
Strong technical expertise in one or more areas such as:
Microsoft Windows Server Red Hat Enterprise Linux Virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware, Xen) Enterprise networking, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems Forensic analysis, vulnerability assessment, and scripting
Preferred Skills
Hands-on experience with: BMC Footprints, WSUS, Lumension, Bitlocker, SQL Server 2012, TomCat, IIS, and Windows Server 2012R2/2016. Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., LogRhythm), ACAS/Nessus/SCAP, and role-based access control (SELinux, AppArmor, etc.). Knowledge of video teleconferencing, VOIP systems, Oracle/MS SQL database security, and Apache/IIS web server security. Previous defense industry experience working in government or military environments.
