Mondays - Fridays, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 40 Hours/Week - Three shift operation
The Fitter Welder LAV will perform tack welding and finishes welding of piping systems utilizing both SMAW, FCAW, SAW, GTAW and GMAW welding procedures. Certification
to
CCC procedures
required
. The Fitter Welder LAV welds all vessels (including large ASME) and structural components
utilizing
SMAW, FCAW, SAW, GTAW and GMAW welding processes. The Fitter Welder LAV performs these procedures to meet CCC certified procedures. (These may include ASME, API, AWS, and ANSI code certification.) Materials may include carbon steel, stainless
steel,
and various other nickel-based alloys. The Fitter Welder LAV
is a
ble to
pass non-destructive examination of pressure retaining
welds
both pipe and vessels.

cranes and overhead
crane

assists
in other areas of the plant as assigned.

ay travel to customer or vendor sites to investigate and solve product quality related issues.
The Fitter Welder LAV p
erforms layout, fitting,
welding
and fabrication and provides direction to welders on the sequence of welding
required
on jobs.
The Fitter Welder LAV m
arks-up drawings while item is being fabricated to reflect changes made during the manufacturing process.
The Fitter
Welder LAV w
orks closely with Group Leaders and the Production Supervisor to help
establish
and maintain project
fabrication
hourly budgets.
Duties and Responsibilities
(not limited to) Complying with company policy Material handling/movement Production Welding Interpret drawings, assemble weldments, tack weld, generate work for welders Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required Associates degree (A.A.), or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is preferred Prior ASME welding certificates are required 0-2 years
fitting experience is required 3-5 years
