The FSQA Program Manager is responsible for creation and updating of multiple portions of the Food Safety Program. Taking direction from the Vice President of Food safety and quality assurance, this position is responsible for reviewing existing policies and procedures, ensuring consistency across all facilities as well as updating them as needed and supporting change management. What you will do: Support the key food safety programs to ensure consistency across the organization and make improvements. Following are some of the key policies and programs.
Recall process Reporting for key USDA requirements including grinding report Align SOPs across facilities where applicable. Vendor approvals utilizing the current AgilePoint tool Change management – i.e. ERP upgrades, AI technology, Shared Drives, Safety Culture software. Create a finished goods and raw material spec database across the Processing Network Create a database for USDA Non-Compliance reports and other federal inspection reports. Support EHS reporting functions. Customer complaints Review Audits and corrective actions across facilities. Other program management duties as assigned.
What you will bring: Bachelor's degree in food science, food technology or related discipline preferred. 10 years of relevant experience within the Food Quality/Safety/Regulatory space (food manufacturing highly preferred) Experience with audit compliance and related audit requirements Experience with Organic, Gluten-Free, Kosher, Non-GMO verified programs highly preferred Experience with Food Regulatory agencies (FDA, USDA.) PCQI/HACCP certified. Additional relevant certifications (e.g. FSVP, SQF, BRC, ) are a plus. Competency with shared folders, along with excellent organizational skills Self-motivated, proactive thinking Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and standards. Excellent organizational and documentation skills.. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in relevant software and systems.
