The Opportunity Take your expertise overseas and lead mission‑critical network design and implementation across Space Force bases within CONUS and OCONUS locations. As a Senior Network Engineer, you’ll drive site surveys, develop secure architectures, and implement advanced routing solutions to meet demanding connectivity and security SLAs. You’ll collaborate with base communications and cybersecurity teams to configure and cut over new deployments, ensure STIG compliance, and support O&M teams’ post‑installation. This is a high‑impact role for seasoned engineers committed to resilient network performance in complex operational environments.

Responsibilities Senior position with multi‑disciplined network experience across wired, wireless, and mobile broadband solutions.

Understand requirements, create designs and network topology artifacts to meet or exceed connectivity, availability, reliability, security SLAs. Lead the development of designs, plans, and policies, and implementations of data networks based on the customers’ performance criteria and specifications. Lead site surveys and network assessments to determine the best hardware and software components for network upgrades to ensure networks are reliable, efficient, and secure. Lead preliminary and final SPRIP development. Ensure installations are performed within safety standards and work site conditions (cleanliness), including restoration of the site to original or better condition. Provide Post‑Deployment Over‑the‑Shoulder‑Training to the O&M team to ensure smooth transition of the networks systems. Design and implement routing policies and load balancing solutions for the customer using BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP routing protocols. Create cyber artifacts such as topology/data flow diagrams, hardware/software lists, STIG checklists, ports/protocols/services, and POA&Ms. Design and implement secure networks, systems, and application architectures. Implement and support network management such as SNMP, SYSLOG, and orchestration. Create LOM to capture all major components and installation materials to ensure successful deployment of systems. Prepare or contribute to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable. Ensure network solutions are in compliance with all pertinent DAF policies and established compliant IT system integrations. Coordinate with local Communication Squadron and/or regional cybersecurity teams to configure, turn up, and cutover new deployments. Assist the O&M team in troubleshooting network‑related issues post‑deployment of the new systems. Resolve technical issues with networks, hardware, and software. Possess and apply expertise on multiple complex work assignments.

Qualifications Required Qualifications

Technical BA/BS degree.

Experience: 7 years with bachelor’s degree; alternatively high school diploma or associate degree plus a minimum of 9 years performing as a Network Engineer on large, complex networks.

Active Secret Clearance.

Desired Qualifications

Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio), AutoCAD.

Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team and customers.

Certification(s): CCNP or equivalent; CompTIA Security+.

Pay Range The proposed salary range for this position is: $90,300 - $189,600.
