Why we’re looking for you: As we continue our rapid growth, we’re looking for an Account Executive who will take ownership of a segment of Port’s enterprise territories. Partnering with our Sales team, you’ll craft your own pipeline and join forces with our adept Sales Engineers to secure deals that range from five to seven figures.
Your comfort in leading pivotal deals, handling a diverse portfolio, and laying the groundwork for future teammates is crucial. You possess a keen ability to listen to and engage with engineers — our primary buyers — and to gracefully navigate technical dialogues and decision‑making. Your role requires a blend of best sales practices, in‑depth sales expertise, and an unyielding passion to close significant deals in record time.
What you’ll do:
Identify and nurture leads, turning them into high‑impact opportunities.
Build and strengthen relationships with buyers, understanding their specific needs and priorities to simplify and expedite the deal process.
Lead negotiations and procurement activities, driving deal closure.
Maintain meticulous updates in our CRM with vital customer information, forecasts, and pipeline data.
Craft and implement strategic plans to meet revenue goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Engage with technical stakeholders to uncover opportunities for Port to enhance their engineering initiatives.
Collaborate closely with sales engineers and the executive team to nurture connections across all tiers of major accounts.
Champion the introduction of innovative features in partnership with Engineering to reinforce Port’s evolving value proposition.
Who you’ll work with: You’ll collaborate closely with Sales Engineers, fellow Account Executives, and the dedicated SDR team. You’ll also participate in sales forecasting meetings and partner with marketing, engineering, and executive leadership, including VP of Sales, CEO, and CTO.
Requirements:
Proven experience achieving quotas, with a benchmark of $1M+ ARR annually.
5–8 years of sales experience, ideally in developer tools, cloud infrastructure, databases, or business intelligence.
Solutions‑oriented sales approach with adeptness in managing multifaceted sales processes.
Excellent presentation and listening skills, plus strong organization and contact‑management proficiency.
Proactive technical acumen, confident in steering conversations with stakeholders at all tiers.
