has an immediate opening for an EHS Engineer (EHS Professional) at our Hampton, VA location. Our passionate commitment to EHS provides the successful candidate with an excellent environment in which to work and the leadership commitment and support to deliver results. This position is a key member of the location's EHS team, highly visible within the plant and business unit, and offers an excellent platform for potential future growth.

is a world leader in the investment casting of superalloys, aluminum and titanium primarily for jet aircraft and industrial gas turbine markets, and a leading supplier of structural components for aerospace, automotive, and commercial transportation. Our Hampton location is on the front edge of our business.
Key Responsibilities of this position include:
Assist with location fatality and serious injury prevention efforts, including leading deployment and execution of key prevention elements and coaching location leaders.
Analyze injury and incident data and assist line management in implementing focused injury reduction efforts; provide expertise to proactively address reduction initiatives.
Assist with the facility's industrial hygiene program, including execution of sampling plans, administration of IH databases and employee exposure records, hazardous material management, ergonomics oversight, radiation protection, and health hazard elimination efforts.
Provide technical expertise and participate in injury/incident investigations to aid root cause analysis and recommend recurrence prevention measures.
Assist with the management of local, state, and federal environmental compliance permits.
Monitor and report on environmental metrics such as emissions, waste, and energy usage.
Assist with the development and implementation of EHS policy and procedures.
Coach and counsel departmental leaders in executing their EHS accountabilities.
Partner with location leadership to deliver EHS objectives.
Lead and assist with other EHS accountabilities.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
At least 1 year of professional experience in an Environmental, Safety, or Health role.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree in environmental, safety, or health discipline.
Professional certification such as ASP, CSP, CIH, or the ability to obtain one.
Preferred Skills:
Demonstrated passion for change with relentless execution focus.
Knowledge of applicable federal and state EHS regulations and procedures.
Strong communication, analytical, problem‑solving, and human‑relations skills.
Ability to make difficult decisions with incomplete data.
Critical skills: execution, attention to detail, initiative, conflict resolution, customer focus, collaboration, ownership, commitment, direction-setting, change‑driven mindset, organizational support, and tenacity.
