Responsibilities

Serve as the outsourced Controller/CFO for multiple nonprofit clients.

Transform client financial departments to support their missions.

Prepare and present financial reports to management, boards, and finance committees.

Recommend and implement improvements to accounting, internal controls, operations, and compliance.

Manage transactional activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue recognition, billing, payroll, and general ledger reconciliations.

Oversee month‑end close and maintain supporting workpapers.

Provide budgeting, forecasting, and data visualization analysis.

Manage grant accounting, allocations, and funder reporting.

Prepare for and coordinate annual audits.

Offer training and support to client staff.

Qualifications

Passionate about working with nonprofit organizations.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).

5–7+ years of accounting experience.

Experience working remotely (preferred).

Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

Experience with QuickBooks and electronic bill pay systems.

Nonprofit accounting, public accounting, or consulting experience is a plus.

CPA certification is a plus.

English/Spanish bilingualism is a plus.

Benefits & Compensation

Competitive base salary of $90,000 to $120,000 (35‑hour full‑time).

Paid time off: 4 weeks (100 hours) vacation, 9 holidays, 40 hours sick time.
