Job Details We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our growing team in the Solar PV industry. The successful candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering and will be proficient in using AutoCAD and Excel. Experience in Solar PV is a huge plus.
Responsibilities
Design, analyze, and detail structures for manufacturing facilities, ensuring compliance with applicable building codes and standards (ASCE 7, IBC, UL).
Utilize AutoCAD to prepare structural drawings and designs.
Conduct structural analysis and design of concrete, steel, and masonry structures using building codes.
Use Excel and other software tools for engineering calculations and data analysis.
Design and optimize Solar PV structures, ensuring their structural integrity and efficiency.
Ideate with Product and Project Management to determine best roadmap for customers.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably within the Solar PV industry.
Experience working on commercial and industrial projects; residential experience is a nice to have.
Leadership experience or the drive/skills to become a leader is a must.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and other relevant software.
Knowledge of building codes and standards (ASCE 7, IBC, UL).
Experience with Solar PV structures is highly desirable.
STAAD experience and design of cold‑formed and hot‑rolled steel, aluminum, and concrete structures is a plus.
About 25% travel to main offices.
