About The Role As a
Resident Engineer / Senior Construction Inspector , you will be responsible for tracking, monitoring, and reporting on every phase of the construction process, ensuring compliance with quality control standards, and monitoring progress reports, schedules, and budget.
Key Responsibilities
Track, monitor, and report on every phase of the construction process, including general, civil, airfield lighting/signage, airfield pavement marking and drainage.
Review and interpret plans and specifications to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and project requirements.
Conduct inspections of construction work to ensure adherence to quality control standards and project specifications.
Monitor progress reports, schedules, and budget to ensure timely and cost‑effective completion of the project.
Collaborate with the project owner, project managers, engineers, contractors, and construction teams to address any issues or concerns.
Conduct construction progress meetings including preparation of meeting agenda and distribution of minutes.
Prepare detailed reports documenting inspection findings, including any non‑compliance issues and recommended corrective actions.
Maintain accurate records of all inspections, approvals, and certifications.
Schedule and coordinate subcontractor quality assurance inspection of completed work.
Qualifications
Associate degree or equivalent.
Minimum of 7 years professional experience in airfield inspection.
In‑depth knowledge of construction practices, techniques, FAA specifications, and regulations.
Expertise in general, civil, airfield civil, and airfield electrical construction.
Experience in Airport environment related to driving on an active airfield.
NICET certification at Level III or IV (or equivalent). Preferred.
Valid driver’s license in good standing and reliable transportation to job site location.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secure Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to resolve construction‑related issues.
Work occurs at an active airport; must work nights and/or weekends as required.
