Job Summary Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers, such as machine operators, forklift operators, laborers, and plant and system operators. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Job Responsibilities
Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in production or processing of goods
Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals
Assign responsibilities to workers each shift
Follow and enforce all safety regulations & LOTO procedures
Attend weekly safety meetings
Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions
Investigate and report test results
Monitor processes, materials, or surroundings to detect or assess problems
Assisting in training new employees
Clean‑up of equipment and maintain the surrounding area, keeping them free of debris
Monitor production process to ensure smooth operation of line(s)
Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
Job Requirements
High school or GED equivalent, equal vocational training/certification, or equivalent experience
Previous manufacturing/production experience preferred
Knowledge of machine/industrial maintenance preferred
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to lift and/or move up to 70 lbs from ground level
