Salary:

$26.97 - $31.87/hour.

Work Schedule:

Onsite, Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm. Some evening or weekend hours may occasionally be required to meet the needs of leasing appointments.

Position Overview:

We’re seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Property Manager to help support the oversight of the day‑to‑day operations at The Cambridge Apartments, a 157‑unit community in Capitol Hill. The role supports the Property Manager in resident satisfaction, retention, and resident lifecycle activities.

Building Information:

The Cambridge Apartments are located in Capitol Hill and have 157 units. The building is comprised of Low‑Income Housing Tax Credits, Office of Housing, Commerce, and WSHFC Bonds, and SHA Bonds.

Your Impact

Conduct regular market studies and recommend marketing activities to increase occupancy.

Use Knock for prospect management and meet internal engagement benchmarks.

Answer inquiry calls, pre‑screen applicants, and determine unit eligibility.

Schedule and conduct application intake appointments, keeping the calendar up to date.

Process applications, perform employment and asset verifications, coordinate subsidy inspections, and collaborate with case management.

Coordinate move‑in dates, prepare lease documents, collect move‑in payments, and set up resident accounts in property management software.

Assist with external referral agencies, communicate residency issues with current clients, and audit lease agreements.

Facilitate annual recertification processes, attend compliance specialist meetings, issue monthly notices, and send legal notices at the 60‑day mark.

Resident Relations

Enter work orders and monitor their completion, keeping residents informed of status.

Assist residents with SHA paperwork and ensure accuracy before submission.

Generate and post inspection/notices and assist with annual housekeeping and funding inspections.

Office/Property Manager Support

Maintain resident contact information in Yardi and file tenant records.

Post rents in Yardi, issue legal notices when the Property Manager is unavailable, and respond to pest control issues.

Other Responsibilities

Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Create community through events, promote an inclusive work environment.

Who You Are

One year of prior work experience in apartment management or a high‑volume customer service role.

Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Yardi, and Knock or similar CREM.

Excellent written and verbal communication; discretion and confidentiality.

Experience applying fair housing laws, local landlord/tenant laws, and compliance procedures.

Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Experience with Seattle Housing Authority Section 8 and social service program referrals.

Completion of WSHFC Fundamentals and Advanced training workshops.

High school diploma or GED (substitutions accepted).
