Senior Pricing & Market Intelligence Manager Location: Miami/Doral, FL

Job Purpose: The Senior Pricing & Market Intelligence Manager will own AFI’s pricing and margin architecture, transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive profitable growth. This person will be the commercial bridge between sales, finance, procurement, and category management, ensuring every quote, category, and customer interaction is strategically priced and supported by real market intelligence. This role will lead our efforts in market analysis, competitive pricing, category margin setup, and profitability reporting, while working directly with leadership to develop pricing strategies that balance growth with sustainable margins.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Pricing & Margin Management

Build and maintain a pricing architecture by category, brand, and customer segment (national accounts, export, and distribution).

Design and implement target margin frameworks by category, item, and market.

Own weekly margin and profitability reporting, highlighting trends, opportunities, and risk areas.

Partner with Finance to align gross-to-net tracking, freight recovery, rebates, and cost-to-serve analysis.

Maintain visibility into all vendor cost changes, promotions, and freight variables to adjust pricing models in real time.

Conduct ongoing market price comparisons against competitors (UNFI, Sysco, MDI, C&S, local wholesalers, and retailers).

Track inflation, currency, and supply trends impacting landed cost and margin.

Develop and maintain a competitive pricing dashboard with insights on category leadership, pricing gaps, and elasticity.

Support leadership in identifying new category opportunities and strategic sourcing advantages.

Partner daily with sales teams to quote customers and bids, ensuring pricing accuracy and strategic margin targets.

Build dynamic quote models that account for freight, currency, and category targets.

Coach sales on pricing strategy, margin mix, and customer profitability awareness.

Reporting & Analytics

Own weekly/monthly profitability and pricing KPI reports (margin %, mix, SKU velocity, contribution per lb/case, etc.).

Develop dashboards in Power BI or similar tools to automate insights for leadership and category teams.

Provide actionable recommendations to improve product mix, supplier negotiations, and overall profitability.

Job Requirements

Between 2-5 years in pricing, deep analysis, category management, or market analytics, ideally in food distribution, wholesale, or CPG.

Strong financial acumen, understands gross-to-net, cost-to-serve, and contribution margin analysis.

Advanced Excel / Power BI/data modeling skills.

Experience integrating pricing logic with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP).

Comfortable working cross-functionally with sales, procurement, and finance.

Strategic thinker with a “get-it-done” operator mindset, thrives in a fast-growing entrepreneurial environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus.
