Job Overview
The Package & Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement, expediting, and delivery of equipment packages to ensure they meet contractual, quality, and project requirements. This role involves vendor management, contract negotiations, supply chain optimization, and coordination with engineering, logistics, and quality teams to ensure seamless execution from pre‑PO to final delivery. Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Contract Management – develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs, quality, and lead times for equipment packages; manage the entire procurement lifecycle, from RFQs to contract finalization and purchase order issuance. Vendor & Supplier Management – build strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers; evaluate supplier performance; conduct audits; resolve disputes and claims efficiently. Package & Expediting Management – coordinate between procurement, engineering, logistics, and project teams for package deliveries; monitor vendor progress and expedite critical equipment. Logistics & Delivery Coordination – develop logistics strategies; optimize freight costs and delivery efficiency; ensure accurate shipping and receiving documentation. Quality Assurance & Compliance – ensure procured equipment meets technical specifications; review ITPs, IRCs; manage NCRs and corrective actions. Supply Chain & Risk Management – identify and mitigate procurement and supply chain risks; develop contingency plans; implement process improvements. Stakeholder & Team Collaboration – act as liaison between procurement, project management, engineering, finance, and logistics; lead procurement and package progress meetings; mentor team members. Key Skills
Strong contract negotiation and vendor management expertise. Deep understanding of supply chain operations, logistics, and procurement best practices. Knowledge of international trade regulations, incoterms, and customs compliance. Ability to manage multiple procurement packages and tight deadlines. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
