Job Purpose/Summary
The Facilities Technician will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal operating results. Carry out routine maintenance along side our contractors on all company machinery and equipment to include fault finding, problem-solving and minor repairs to minimize downtime. Providing Support to the Shipping and Receiving department.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
Performs maintenance inspections of HVAC units, including packaging units, performs minor repairs when needed.
Work with contractors and departments to schedule repairs and maintenance.
Work with various vendors and contractors to manage facility functions such as Medical waste removal, Compressed gases, Liquid Nitrogen deliveries, and the Janitorial services.
Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain a wide variety of facility plumbing, mechanical, electrical, heating and cooling systems.
Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and performs required preventative maintenance duties.
Work performed within generally defined parameters.
Have some degree of judgment required in resolving nonstandard problems.
Writing procedures and checklists, assisting and training maintenance.
Creating Processes and Process improvements.
Work with engineers on our projects for maximum efficiency.
Recondition and or/install new parts of a variety of complex mechanical equipment.
Complete daily walkthrough of departments to ensure a smooth operation.
Start time may be adjusted based on project demands.
Inspecting and fix office equipment when needed such as desks, chairs, lighting fixtures, and others.
Painting, patching, and Drywall work when needed.
Assist Logistics & Purchasing department with receiving tasks daily.
Other duties to be assigned as needed.

Minimum Requirements
Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office applications to create spreadsheets, Word documents, and presentations.
Knowledge of use of hand and power tools.
Able to comply with all safety policies and procedures.
Have some degree of judgment required in resolving nonstandard problems.
Interpret and work from sketches, drawings, and blueprints and schematics.
High school diploma or 3 years of experience in a facilities or maintenance role.
1 year of professional experience.
Preferred Requirements
Preferred 5 Years’ Experience in Facilities/Maintenance.
Preferred experience working in a Biotech company.
The hiring range for this position is $27.82-$41.66
