Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail‑driven
Senior Electrical Engineer
to lead the design, development, and optimization of electrical systems supporting critical facility operations at our HQS site. This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of all electrical infrastructure, while driving strategic improvements and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
As a technical authority, you will collaborate across operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions, guide capital projects, and uphold best practices in electrical design and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the research, design, detailing, and installation support of facility electrical systems
Partner with Operations & Maintenance (O&M) and Plant teams to ensure robust emergency preparedness
Drive preventive and corrective maintenance strategies for electrical systems
Conduct infrastructure assessments and recommend capital improvements based on current and future needs
Oversee electrical components of construction and renovation projects from concept through completion
Develop and implement maintenance policies, standards, and procedures aligned with industry best practices
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external vendors to ensure seamless service delivery
Establish and refine design standards and site‑specific operating procedures
Create, review, and update electrical design documentation, submittals, and one‑line diagrams
Perform redline updates and maintain accurate site drawings
Basic Qualifications
Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with polygraph
8–12 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Proven expertise in complex electrical system design, development, and testing
Strong background in power distribution, lighting, and control systems
Deep knowledge of commercial electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC)
Proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD tools
Familiarity with energy‑efficient and sustainable design principles
Experience with medium voltage systems, backup generators, UPS, data centers, and lighting controls
Ability to solve complex, cross‑disciplinary technical challenges
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage senior leadership and customers
Hands‑on experience with industrial control systems, PLCs, and instrumentation
Preferred Qualifications
TS/SCI with polygraph
Recognized Subject Matter Expert (SME) in electrical engineering
PE (Professional Engineer) certification
Field experience in electrical construction, systems integration, and testing
Strong project management skills including budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning
Experience with reactive maintenance in building electrical systems

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
