Job Description
Production Engineering Manager Summary The role of this position is to provide leadership to all operations in an assigned production department. This requires close coordination and communication with the Production, Maintenance, and Headquarters to ensure that production operations meet internal and external customer requirements.
About MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC. MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC. (MNAe) is a Tier 1 supplier of BSA (Battery System Assembly) and PE systems (Motor, Decelerator, and Inverter), which are key parts to producing electric vehicles, based on state-of-the-art manufacturing technology related to battery system assembly. To supply BSA and PE systems for three significant hubs of HMG Group in North America: 1) Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA), 2) Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama (HMMA), and 3) KIA Auto-land Georgia (KaGA).
Essential Functions (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)
Develop and maintain engineering documents such as Work Standards, Control Plans, PFMEA, Work Instructions etc.
Monitoring the daily production efficiency and implementing activities to ensure KPIs meet the target.
Ensure product and process quality meets the specifications required.
Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning the production process, logistic flow, and equipment layout.
Support and lead continuous improvement, problem-solving, and process improvement activities.
Implement continuous improvement activities for ongoing scrap reduction, cycle time reduction, and downtime reduction.
Ensures adherence to standard processes for data collection, documentation, and reporting
Generate and execute improvement ideas for cost reduction, labor savings, material flow optimization, and safety.
Communicate with relevant departments such as QA, Maintenance, Research, HQ, and Business service staff to resolve any issues that arise in the plant.
Ensure production teams use standardized work and consistent work practices across shifts and areas.
Review of process machine/process tooling specifications and confirmation of manufacturing specifications.
Support to train production members about products and processes.
Comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies.
May be required to perform other related duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications (The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required for this position.)
Required Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering.
Minimum 7 years of production engineering in the automotive industry.
Ability to draw using CAD software - Experience with Autodesk .
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Bilingual (English/Korean) is but not required.
