Senior Quality Engineer – Product Quality Engineer Location: Qnity site, Circleville, Ohio

Position: Product Quality Engineer on the Kapton® team.

Key Responsibilities

Translate and communicate customer quality requirements to the Kapton® team, and lead assessments in capability to meet quality requirements.

Facilitate customer facing work processes such as surveys, specification reviews, and change notifications.

Lead and/or supports investigations of internal and external quality issues in a timely manner and implement effective corrective/preventative actions using root cause tools (5 Why, Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), Fishbone, etc.).

Initiate, monitor and execute quality continuous improvement programs/projects that align with Quality Objectives and improve customer satisfaction.

Quality source for release of non-conforming material (MRB function).

Actively participate in Operations standard meetings to communicate quality performance.

Serve as quality lead during interactions with customers or suppliers on quality and technical issues.

Conduct internal system, process, and product audits and monitor corrective action plans.

Effectively communicate verbally, through written conversation, and shopfloor interactions with a range of personnel, including the ability to teach and train.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in STEM program.

At least 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Applied knowledge and experience working with Quality Management System requirements such as ISO 9001:2015.

Demonstrated proficiency with Statistical Analysis software (MiniTab or JMP preferred).

Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft programs (Excel, PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting.

Demonstrated ability to solve problems of a technical nature.

Experience in formal problem solving and demonstrated cross-site project management. Six‑Sigma Black Belt Certification is preferred.

Knowledge of QMS (and applicable standards: ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100), regulatory compliance, and auditing practices.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in the electronics, semiconductor or semiconductor materials industry in a quality or technical role is preferred. (Engineering, R&D, Quality, Fab, Manufacturing, etc.)

Demonstrated experience using formal problem‑solving methodologies such as 8D, Kepner‑Tregoe Problem Analysis, QC problem‑solving story, RCI, 5 why, FMEA, and others.

Strong data analysis skills; experience using statistical tools like JMP, LIMS, MES.

Demonstrated success resolving technical challenges in a time‑critical situation.

Six Sigma Green Belt or higher is desired.
