Technical Sales Representative – Microgrid Switchgear & Controls
Houston, TX | Full‑time
We’re partnered with a high‑growth, advanced power systems organization that delivers engineered microgrid, switchgear, and controls solutions for industrial, oil & gas, and renewable energy clients. With a vendor‑neutral strategy and expertise across multiple OEM platforms, we are transforming how companies implement resilient, cost‑efficient energy systems.
What You’ll Be Doing Business Development & Sales
Drive new microgrid controls & switchgear sales through outreach, site visits, and events.
Build technical proposals, negotiate terms, and meet revenue targets.
Technical Sales Support
Translate complex electrical systems into clear customer value.
Validate SLDs/schematics, support engineering, FATs, demos, and commissioning.
Customer & Account Management
Grow relationships with EPCs, end users, and partners.
Maintain CRM pipeline accuracy and provide post‑sale support.
Market Insight
Monitor microgrids/BESS/distributed energy trends.
Advise leadership on product gaps and competitive moves.
What They’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or similar preferred.
5+ years of technical sales experience in switchgear, controls, or microgrid systems.
Strong knowledge of MV/LV switchgear, PLCs, controls, and SCADA.
Proven ability to exceed revenue goals and manage complex sales cycles.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Self‑driven, organized, and comfortable working independently.
Ability to travel up to 40%.
