Turner & Townsend is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Estimator to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in mechanical estimating, particularly within commercial, data center, industrial, or high-tech construction environments. While mechanical estimating is the core focus, experience with electrical and plumbing systems (MEP) is a strong advantage. From the inception of a project through to completion and beyond, Turner & Townsend helps to deliver outcomes that matter through transformational projects covering the full spectrum of consultancy, project delivery and post-project operations. We have offices globally with over 22,000 specialists in more than 60 countries, enabling local knowledge with global insight. Our team is dynamic, innovative and client-focused, supported by an inclusive and fun company culture. Our clients value our proactive approach, depth of expertise, integrity and the quality we deliver. Responsibilities

Lead the preparation of mechanical cost estimates across all project phases—from conceptual through detailed design. Deliver accurate and timely cost plans and estimates to support client decision-making. Collaborate with design and project teams to provide cost input during feasibility studies, procurement planning, and value engineering. Manage the full procurement lifecycle: pre-qualification, bid analysis, reporting, and contract documentation. Conduct cost checks, valuations, and change control processes throughout the project lifecycle. Produce and present monthly cost reports and final accounts to clients. Provide leadership and mentorship to junior estimators and cost consultants. Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for new business. Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating tools, templates, and best practices. Analyze historical cost data and market trends to inform future estimates. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to validate pricing and scope. Support risk and contingency analysis during preconstruction phases. SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related technical field. 7+ years of experience in mechanical estimating for large-scale commercial or high-tech construction projects. Strong understanding of HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems as they relate to building construction. Familiarity with electrical and plumbing estimating (MEP) is a plus. Proficient in estimating software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam). Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Experience advising clients on value engineering, life cycle costing, and procurement strategies. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously. Experience working with high-profile clients and navigating complex stakeholder environments. Additional Information
