Sets and drives the strategic direction for the global Tapes & Electrical Supplies portfolios (PC2330 & PC3340) to ensure long‑term growth, innovation, and brand/product vitality. Anchored deep in customer and market insight, the GPL aligns portfolio strategy, innovation, and commercialization across geographies to deliver sustainable value. The role balances strategic foresight with near‑term execution, guiding cross‑functional and regional teams through influence, collaboration, and disciplined prioritization.

Portfolio Strategy and Management: Develop and drive the global portfolio strategy, aligned to division priorities. Own portfolio health and long‑term performance by investing in growth opportunities, rationalizing SKUs, and managing product lifecycles.
P&L Management: Manage portfolio economics and tradeoffs with a profit‑and‑loss perspective, balancing growth investments with structural profitability.
Innovation and Commercialization: Own the global NPI pipeline, connecting customer insights and market trends to deliver sustainable growth. Define the long‑term vision for innovation and lead pipeline execution globally.
Customer & Market Insight: Champion the voice of the customer and competitive landscape, ensuring portfolio and innovation choices reflect external needs and future trends.
Brand and Pricing Strategy: Define global brand positioning and pricing strategy to drive competitiveness and value creation, ensuring consistency across markets and channels.

Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (completed and verified prior to start)
Ten (10) years of combined experience in Global Portfolio Management, Product Marketing, and/or Business Management in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
MBA from an accredited institution.
Strong track record of collaboration and cross‑functional teamwork.
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data and drive decisions.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Demonstrated success in business strategy, operational marketing, business analytics, customer negotiations, price management, and leadership by influence.
Work Location This role follows an on‑site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Austin Center.
Relocation Relocation might be authorized.
Travel May include up to 20% domestic / international.
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Compensation and Benefits Applicable to US Applicants Only: The expected compensation range for this position is $228,040 - $278,715, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible.
