Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC)
at Aspire Health Partners, your primary responsibility is to provide clinical expertise as a subject matter expert and assist with the identification of parents with behavioral health conditions in the child welfare system and how it will impact child safety. Job Functions Provide the initial screening and assessment to identify behavioral health needs Link clients to appropriate treatment providers Coordinate services to support ongoing engagement in treatment and joint responses with Child Welfare Professionals Collaborate with child welfare professionals and treatment providers to ensure families remain engaged and supported in their recovery journey Work to prevent unnecessary out-of-home placements by offering comprehensive case management, removing barriers to treatment, and ensuring that services are provided in accordance with ethical standards and agency procedures Participate in ongoing data reporting, quality improvement efforts, and attend relevant meetings to contribute to the development of effective interventions for family safety and well-being Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct while adhering to agency policies and procedures Minimum of 1 year experience working with Substance Misuse and Mental Health populations and making clinical recommendations Working knowledge of community mental health and substance use providers and best practices for engagement and treatment Knowledge of the child welfare and behavioral health systems preferred Knowledge and understanding of the impact of mental health conditions and substance use disorders on parenting ability and child safety Strong documentation, communication, and critical thinking skills required Level II Background clearance Acceptable Motor Vehicle Registration driver’s license record in accordance with the underwriting guidelines set by Aspire insurance company as described in the AHP Corporate Transportation Policy 3.9.1 Master Degree in a human services field All the benefits and perks you need for you and your family : We are committed to providing our employees with the support they need.
