Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Design team to incorporate design changes in new products to improve manufacturing and assembly, and support manufacturing by designing fixtures to improve the production process.
Create innovative, cost-effective ways of electronics packaging by designing sheet metal, die-cast, and injection-molded plastic parts and assemblies.
Mechanical design integration of workstation electronics, including CPUs, motherboards, storage, GPUs, adapter cards, power supplies, and other components.
Collaborate with the project team to ensure assigned work proceeds to the agreed-upon master schedule, and support the production floor for any quality issues identified for mechanical parts.
Collaborate with 3rd party services for Mechanical parts manufacturing to expedite samples of new part designs for design verification; coordinate with vendors for any out-of-spec mechanical parts to improve design quality.
Perform other job-related duties as requested or assigned by the Sr. Mechanical Engineer or Product Design team leader.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in engineering fields related to mechanical disciplines (Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechatronics, Robotics, etc.).
Experience in 3D CAD software for mechanical design, such as Creo, SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, etc.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment, sharing pertinent information, providing analysis, and recommendations in support of team efforts.
Bilingual in English and Mandarin is a plus.
