Overview A leading manufacturer is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support product and process quality initiatives. This role involves facilitating APQP documentation, leading cross‑functional meetings, and driving continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.

Schedule Onsite, First Shift.

Key Responsibilities

Lead weekly staff and prioritization meetings.

Facilitate and develop APQP documentation including process FMEAs, control plans, and process flow diagrams.

Track and support recommended actions from FMEAs.

Independently schedule and lead APQP readiness meetings with engineering teams.

Review and develop process capability studies and measurement systems analysis.

Create and submit PPAP documentation.

Present formal updates to stakeholders.

Review and approve sampling procedures and quality data reporting.

Supervise programs evaluating precision and accuracy of production and testing equipment.

Conduct training sessions on quality control activities.

Direct teams in measuring and testing product quality and reliability.

Plan and direct activities related to quality standards for processes, materials, and products.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (required).

8–10 years of relevant experience.

Proficiency in APQP elements including Process Flow, Control Plan, and PFMEA.

Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams.

Prior experience in the automotive industry (preferred).

Soft Skills

Ability to lead cross‑functional meetings both in‑person and virtually.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Lafayette, IN.

Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $46.00/hr.
