Our client is a leading U.S. provider of employee benefits insurance brokerage and consulting services.
The Account Manager – Employee Benefits is responsible for day‑to‑day management of their assigned book of business, working closely with the internal service team and producers to ensure service deliverables meet and exceed client expectations. The AM also serves as a key client touchpoint for day‑to‑day service needs.
Base pay range $95,000/yr – $120,000/yr
Additional compensation types Annual bonus
Location Hybrid in Downtown LA, Irvine or San Diego offices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in marketing and servicing clients within the account team
Build relationships with clients and answer insurance questions
Maintain appropriate business contact with clients
Assist with issuing insurance binders
Process invoices for new and renewal policies
Process change requests from clients, setting an activity for receipt of the endorsement from the insurance carrier
Process received endorsements, check for accuracy, invoice and send to client with clear explanation of change
Check and invoice audits, and send to client with clear explanation of premium
Update the system and the shared drive to reflect changes during the coverage term
Order renewal submissions and prepare summaries
Complete preliminary policy checking for all accounts and submit change requests to the underwriter
Follow up on open activities
All other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements
Ability to manage client needs and multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Capability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Proven track record of success in a hybrid setting
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to support multiple producers and/or account executives simultaneously
Must have an active Life & Health license
