A client of ours is a Large Corporate Services seeking a Tax M&A/Transaction professional for a newly created role. Their team has about three professionals in the NYC area. Reporting to the Head of M&A/Transaction Tax, this role is a Tax Counsel providing domestic and international tax structuring, strategy, and risk handling for the client’s private equity funds, including infrastructure, renewable, and energy investments.
Responsibilities
Drive tax structuring and strategy initiatives and manage risk, collaborating with internal stakeholders.
Implement fund structures and new products, liaising with advisers and investors regarding investment terms.
Work with and manage tax advisors and lawyers, both internal and in various jurisdictions, to optimize acquisition/divestiture outcomes while considering non‑tax financing, legal, and regulatory factors.
Gather and analyze complex financial information for international tax purposes.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with a Master’s in Tax, JD, or LLM.
4‑7 years of taxation experience, preferably from public accounting or asset management; international tax experience is a plus.
Exposure to private equity renewable/energy funds.
The estimated base salary range for this position is $250,000‑$300,000 base plus discretionary performance bonus, including benefits.
