Staffmark is hiring a Maintenance Technician in San Diego, CA! This role is ideal for someone with strong electrical and mechanical skills who enjoys troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving production equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:40 PM
Responsibilities
Lead and direct the daily activities of the maintenance technician team
Oversee projects, scheduling, and equipment maintenance plans
Implement and maintain technical and safety standards, including Cal-OSHA requirements
Start up and shut down powered equipment safely
Perform preventative maintenance and accurately record data in equipment logs
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical failures efficiently
Recommend process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and reduce waste
Support and train operators on proper equipment operation and maintenance
Maintain spare parts inventory and assist with new equipment installation
Calibrate testing instruments and ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience
Strong electrical knowledge (24V-480V AC, single and 3-phase, DC systems, motor controls)
PLC programming experience (creating, editing, troubleshooting)
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues
