Position Overview
Seasonal Experienced Tax Professional at H&R Block. You will serve clients with diverse tax needs, providing high-quality tax preparation and client service.
Responsibilities
Conduct tax interviews with clients face‑to‑face and via virtual tools (video, phone, chat, email).
Prepare complete and accurate tax returns for individuals, trusts, and partnerships.
Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
Provide clients with IRS support and ensure compliance with IRS and applicable state requirements.
All certification levels can provide tax notice services; Circular 230 associates can provide audit representation.
Mentor and support teammates, contributing to a collaborative environment.
Successfully complete the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
Assist with virtual tools, including video, phone, and chat, and communicate effectively in person, by phone, and in writing.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
CPA or Enrolled Agent certification is preferred.
5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax.
Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
Experience with tax planning and audit support.
Sales and/or marketing experience is a plus.
High school diploma or equivalent (minimum).
