Position Position Overview:
Georgia State University’s Instructional Innovation and Technology (IIT) division is seeking a
Manager, Learning Environments Design
to lead the design and integration of audio-visual and classroom technologies across campus. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of learning spaces, ensuring they are innovative, effective, and aligned with institutional goals.
Key Responsibilities
Team and Resource Management : Perform essential personnel tasks within the Learning Environments Design team and utilize resource management to effectively manage and perform audio visual integrations
Technology Standards and Design : Develop technology standards for university learning environments and other audio-visual spaces to ensure a consistent user experience
Research and Innovation : Research emerging technologies as it relates to the increased efficacy and sustainability of audio-visual enabled spaces in support of teaching and learning excellence
Financial Oversight : Support budget tracking and financial planning for audio-visual projects
Strategic Planning : Assist in planning strategic technology upgrades for university-supported spaces
Technology Lifecycle and Performance Management : Manage the technology lifecycle of all integrated audio-visual environments and report on performance and needs
Community Engagement and Support : Maintain communities of interest around audio-visual technology integration and usage in classrooms and other spaces
Qualifications
Minimum Hiring Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and four years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Hiring Qualifications:
Preference may be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the Minimum Qualifications, possess the following:
5 or more years supporting large-scale technology environments
Certifications: QSys, Dante, Avixa CTS
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, leadership skills and broad vision
Mastery of TCP/IP and AV over IP network concepts, QSys, Crestron, and related AV components (their design, programming, implementation, and management).
Extensive experience with Audio-Visual system design
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (dashboard creation, simple data analysis, etc.)
Extensive Project management experience
