Overview The position is located within the Health Services Department’s Contracts and Grants Unit at 50 Douglas Drive Suite #320A. The Unit processes over 1,700 contracts annually for all Health Services divisions and handles all state, federal, and other grants. The role supports County Counsel, Risk Management, County Administrator’s Office, Purchasing Agent, and Auditor Controller in ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures and meeting all deadlines.

What the Position Involves

Prioritizing and managing assigned contracts.

Meeting all contract deadlines.

Co‑ordinating with County Counsel, Risk Management, CAO, Purchasing Agent and Auditor to ensure procedures are followed.

Drafting clear and concise contract language.

Communicating with supervisors on issues that arise.

Collaborating with other Unit staff to share information and complete projects.

Researching policies, prior decisions, and prior contracts to ensure compliance.

Following up on contracts to keep them moving forward.

Minimum Qualifications

License Required: Valid California Motor Vehicle Operator’s License.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related field. Experience in processing or preparing grant applications, state and federal contracts, or purchases of service contracts may substitute for up to four years of education.
