A contract position is available for a School Psychologist to support high school students in grades 9‑12 at a school in Cranston, RI. This role focuses on providing direct counseling services and conducting evaluations to address a variety of social‑emotional, behavioral, and cognitive needs. The anticipated start date is November 25, with a six‑week duration and the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities
Deliver direct counseling services to approximately 20 students, addressing social-emotional, behavioral, and cognitive challenges.
Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments.
Participate in meetings with staff, students, and families to develop individualized support plans.
Collaborate closely with school staff to support student success and well‑being.
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to evaluations and counseling.
Qualifications
Professional experience as a School Psychologist.
Familiarity with high school student populations and the specific needs of adolescents in grades 9‑12.
Ability to manage a caseload that includes direct counseling, evaluations, and participation in multidisciplinary meetings.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and school personnel.
Flexibility to accommodate a schedule with at least three days per week onsite, mainly aligning with school hours from 7:00 AM to 2:05 PM, with some flexibility as needed.
Schedule & Location
Onsite presence preferred at a high school in Cranston, RI.
Opportunities to participate in some meetings virtually if necessary.
Contract role covering an anticipated six‑week leave period, starting 11/25, with potential for extension.
Compensation ranges from $40.83 to $60.83 per hour. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan are available internally. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
