The Analytical Scientist II is a technical expert in analytical method development and validation. This role focuses on creating robust, efficient, and innovative testing methodologies for dietary supplements, nutritional products, and skincare. This position collaborates cross-functionally with R&D, QA, and Regulatory Affairs, while mentoring junior scientists and driving scientific advancement, operational efficiency, and product quality.
How You Would Contribute
Design, develop, validate, and optimize analytical methods to support product development and routine testing.
Troubleshoot complex methods and implement continuous improvements.
Partner with R&D for formulation support, process troubleshooting, and method transfer.
Lead technical investigations, OOS root cause analysis, and CAPA resolution.
Provide hands‑on training and mentorship to chemists and method execution, validation principles, and data interpretation.
Ensure all work complies with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Contribute to audit readiness and documentation accuracy.
Draft scientific publications, validation protocols, and technical reports.
Represent the company at conferences and in industry working groups (e.g., AOAC, USP, multi‑lab studies).
Propose projects that align with the business need and management objectives.
Technical Expertise
Proficient in chromatography (HPLC, UPLC, GC / MS, LC / MS), spectroscopy (FTIR, UV‑Vis), and elemental analysis (ICP, ICP‑MS).
Familiarity with molecular techniques (PCR, sequencing) a plus.
Skilled in data interpretation, statistical analysis, and scientific writing.
