Job Summary The Database Administrator (DBA) will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of IBM Db2 LUW (Linux, Unix, Windows) databases across multiple environments. The role includes performance tuning, backup and recovery, security management, and supporting mission‑critical enterprise applications.
Required Skills & Experience
7+ years of experience in IBM Db2 LUW database administration in large enterprise environments.
Strong hands‑on experience with Db2 installation, configuration, tuning, and performance optimization.
Expertise in HADR, TSA, DPF, and other high‑availability and disaster recovery solutions.
Proficient in backup/recovery strategies, restore testing, and Db2 utilities.
Solid understanding of database security, roles/privileges, and data encryption mechanisms.
Working knowledge of SQL, shell scripting (AIX/Linux), and automation tools.
Experience with database monitoring tools (e.g., IBM Data Server Manager, OEM, or equivalent).
Familiarity with Cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and hybrid database integration is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills for collaboration across teams.
